British American Tobacco Kenya(BAT Kenya), joined the Kenya Business and Disability Network on 5th October 2021, officially formalizing its membership by signing both the 10 principle-KBDN charter and the KBDN membership commitment form. This official signing off was done at BAT Kenya’s Corporate Headquarters, along Likoni Road in Nairobi and was led by the Company Managing Director, Mr. Crispin Achola. Officials from BAT Kenya, the Federation of Kenya Employers and ILO witnessed the event.
The company, through its MD reiterated its commitment to the inclusion of persons with disabilities, working with initiatives like the KBDN to build its confidence as a Top Inclusive Employer in the country and region. As more companies join the Network, partnerships are strengthened and the private sector is steadily taking up its role in the inclusion agenda for the country.
